This set was the second project in my 3D design A-Level course. It was a live project for the set design competition within the Royal Opera House. I was nominated for the challenge by my tutor. This project was one which sparked my passion for set design, I love putting the realistic details into the model as well as designing the costumes. My favourite part of the set is the vibrant colours in an environment where it is supposed to be quite dark. I also enjoyed learning new model making techniques and working with materials I have never worked with before. This set was built to target a younger audience than is usually expected during ballet productions. I used the setting to create a fantasy environment to attract children and young adults.
